BayShare is a Library of Things and will be fully launched in late May 2026.
BayShare is hosted by Lancaster and Morecambe Makers (LAMM) which has run Lancaster Community Makerspace since 2016. They received a Pots of Possibility grant from FoodFutures: Closing Loops in Autumn 2025 to start a Library of Things.
In Spring 2026, they also received funding from Lancaster City Council in order to support the new Library, as well as developing a network of Libraries of Things in Lancaster District with sub-libraries hosted within the White Cross space or satellite libraries hosted by other organisations around the District. If your organisation has a collection of items that could be a sub-library (listed on our site, but hosted in your own space) please get in touch.
You will receive free membership (and discount at the library) if you become a member of Lancaster Community Makerspace.
